Questions about Ciya
Is Ciya always listening?
Ciya listens for its wake word, "Hey Ciya", on your PC only, and nothing you say is sent anywhere to detect it. You can turn voice off completely. The wake word is in development.
Which languages will Ciya understand?
English today, with Indian languages planned through Bhashini, starting with Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, the languages the desktop itself already offers in preview builds.
Can Ciya do something I did not approve?
No. Ciya proposes a plan and waits. You approve it on the PC, or from your paired phone, and you can undo it afterwards. A stop control halts everything Ciya is doing at once.
Does Ciya need the internet?
No. Ciya runs on language models on your PC. If you choose to switch on cloud models for harder requests, Ciyora shows which requests go to the cloud.
