Private by default, not by setting
Ciyora OS starts with the safe answer already chosen. Nothing leaves your PC until you say so.
- In preview builds runs in our internal preview builds
- In development being built now
- Coming soon designed, not built yet

Four promises
- In preview builds
On the device first
Ciya works things out on your PC. Cloud models are off until you switch them on, and crash reports are never sent unless you choose to.
- In development
End-to-end encryption
Device pairing is encrypted between your devices today. Vault sync and backups are encrypted on your device before they are uploaded.
- In development
Passkeys
Sign in to your PC and your Ciyora ID with a passkey, with a recovery key and approval from a trusted device if you lose one.
- In preview builds
No ads
No advertising in the system, the Store or the apps, and no selling of what you do.
Bring your own cloud, and make it one private drive
Connect the storage you already have, and Ciyora OS combines it into one encrypted pool that shows up in Files like any other drive. Files are encrypted on your PC before they are uploaded, so neither the providers nor Ciyora can read them. We never see your files.
You choose how safe each folder should be:
- One copy, for the most space
- Mirrored across two providers, so one outage does not lock you out
- Spread across several providers with spare parity, so you can lose one and still recover everything
Coming soon
Providers we are building for
Any mix of these, in one pool.
- Google Drive
- OneDrive
- Dropbox
- Zoho WorkDrive
- Cloudflare R2
- Backblaze B2
- Your own NAS
- Any S3-compatible storage
Names belong to their owners and are listed only to show compatibility. Your storage plan with each provider stays between you and that provider.
Nothing happens behind your back
- Ciya shows its plan before acting and waits for your approval In preview builds
- Requests from your other devices wait for your yes, unless you allow them In preview builds
- A history of everything Ciya did, with undo In preview builds
- Apps from the Store run in their own containers with the permissions you approve In preview builds
- Move transfers your data over your local network or a drive, never through the internet In preview builds
