Getting started with Ciyora Monitor
Ciyora Monitor covers endpoint monitoring, recordings, productivity, attendance and data protection. Its pages are under Monitoring & portal in Ciyora Console.
Before you switch it on
Decide, with HR and legal, why you monitor, what you need to collect, who may see it and how long it is kept, and tell employees before you deploy the agent.
Ciyora Monitor is privacy-first by design:
- Consent before collection. The agent shows the monitoring notice on each device and collects nothing until the person at the device has acknowledged it. A material change to the notice needs a fresh acknowledgement.
- No stealth mode. The agent always shows a tray indicator with the monitoring status. There is no setting that hides the agent, and employee notification cannot be switched off.
- Viewing is logged. Opening a live view and playing a recording are written to the audit log.
Steps
- Set the capture policy. Choose which data types are collected, when screen recording and screenshots happen (for example only during flagged activity or an open investigation), what is masked, and which groups are excluded.
- Set retention under Settings > Organization, per data type.
- Enrol agents with an enrolment token from Settings > Agent enrollment, and check them under Monitoring > Agents.
- Check the notice. The banner on every monitoring page shows what is collected. Open My productivity as an employee to see the notice they see. Devices start reporting only after the person at each device acknowledges it.
Live view opens only after a confirmation that states its purpose limits, and it is read-only.
